Who is Chuffed Badger? 

ChuffedBadger Photography is the public profile of New Zealand based photographer, Steve Cockram. 

"My photography is grounded in truth — capturing people, places, and moments as they are, not as algorithms think they should be. I believe there's unmatched beauty in natural light, genuine emotion, and the imperfections that make each subject unique. I don't rely on AI tools or heavy image manipulation, because my goal isn’t to create an illusion — it’s to honour reality. "

"My passion is capturing the world as it truly is, while also helping you learn to do the same. I want you to remember me as honest, reliable, and always ready to help you get or take better photos."

Why Chuffed Badger? 

"The Badger is my favourite animal.  As a young child, my family spent 3 years living in the UK, so perhaps this is where the admiration for European woodland creatures developed.  There are a number of businesses already using the badger in their title, so I wanted a positive adjective that would be unique.   The term Chuffed (pleased) seemed to fit the brief, and the Chuffed Badger was created."

Steve is a mentor with the LensLife photographic community and regularly volunteers as the photographer for his local parkrun event at Gordon Carmichael Reserve in Tauranga.
